Is Tavour Really Worth The Money?

For any of you that have been following me for a little while now you know I talk about Tavour all the time. Probably a little bit too much for some people, but I can’t help myself. I get a lot of messages from you guys asking the in’s and outs of Tavour and if it’s really worth the money.

I thought it would be easiest to go through the pro’s and con’s for you in a blog post so you can really see if Tavour is right for you. If you have any questions I didn’t cover here feel free to leave them in the comments below or DM me on Instagram. Before anyone asks, this Isn’t a sponsored post and all thoughts are my own. I’m just a fan of the service.

If you’re looking to try out Tavour for the first time you can get $10 off your order of $25 or more via this link. I get a little kickback too just for full transparency.

What is Tavour?

For those of you sitting here going “What the frick is that?” let me lay it out for you.

Essentially, Tavour is a craft beer subscription service that partners with breweries from all over to bring you rare or hard to find beer that aren’t easily available anywhere else. It’s pretty likely you won’t be able to mosey on down to your local Total Wine and snag these bottles off the shelf.

How Does Tavour Work?

The easiest way to browse Tavour’s beer selection is by downloading their mobile app for Apple or Android. Once you’ve downloaded the app you’ll be able to browse the beers that are currently available. If you’re interested in a specific beer and you’d like to add it to your crate simply hit the ‘Get it’ Button.

If a beer is already sold out you’ll see the ‘Waitlist Me’ Button. As you already know the more popular the beer, the quicker they sell out. Not to fret though! Everyday Tavour releases 2-3 new beers that are making waves in the craft community so you’re sure to find something awesome to add to your crate.

There also isn’t a time limit to add beer to your crate. You can push out the shipping date as many times as you’d like until you’re happy with what you have. They’ll hold the other beers you’ve already added to your crate so you don’t have to worry about missing out on them.

How Much Does Tavour Cost?

That depends on the beer as I’m sure you already assumed. One of the biggest perks about Tavour is their $14.99 flat rate shipping. Beer is heavy, and the more you buy generally the more it will cost to ship. No matter if you add 2 beers or 20 to your crate the shipping remains the same which I think is awesome!

Is there anything you don’t like about Tavour?

With any service you use there are definitely going to be a few gripes. Mine happen to be pretty minimal and the good outweighs the bad in this instance so I’m willing to look past them.

This might just be specific to my own area, but the shipping does take quite a long time. I think this has to do with the fact that they ship out the beer themselves and then it gets transferred to a local freight company who finishes the delivery. The tracking between when the beer is sent out from Tavour and transferred to the 3rd party freight company is a little spotty and not always accurate.

The last qualm I have which really applies to any company who ships alcohol is that someone has to sign for the delivery who is over 21. I’ve missed deliveries to my home before and it was a pain to try to reschedule the delivery. The best way to avoid that from happening is to have your beer delivered to your work. Since I’ve done that I’ve pretty much had no issues with the delivery.

Is Tavour a go?

Overall, I really do love the service and I think they’re an awesome company making hard-to-find beer more accessible for everyone. If you’re looking to give Tavour a shot, you can get $10 off your first order of $25 or more by clicking here. I do get a small kick back if you choose to purchase beer through this link.
